Location & Directions
1. From the North via the Forth Road Bridge to Greywalls:
Follow the M90 South to Edinburgh crossing over the Forth Road
Bridge. On leaving the Bridge follow signs for the A800, which then
becomes the M9 (signposted to M8 Glasgow/Edinburgh).
Join the M8 at Junction 2, heading East towards Edinburgh. At hermiston
Gait, njoin the City Bypass (A720), following the signs for Berwick-upon-Tweed
and the South.
Stay on the A720 intil it joins the A1, then take the A1, still
floowing the signs for Berwick-upon-Tweed. At the Bankton junction,
take the A198 which is signposted to North Berwick. Stay on the
A198, through Longniddry, along the coast to Aberlady and into the
village of Gullane. At the far end of the village, take the last
turning on the left (signposted at the road-end) and Greywalls is
on the right, half-way along this path.
2. From Edinburgh City Centre to Greywalls:
From the east end of Princess Street (Balmoral Hotel), follow the
signs for the A1 Berwick-upon-Tweed road. When you leave the city
it will become a dual carriage way. Follow this for about 8 miles
until you reach the 'Bankton' slip road, then folliw th signs for
North Berwick. Go straight over the first roundabout, then at the
next roundabout turn right onto the A198 which you then follow into
the village of Gullane.
Greywalls is located at the far end of the village, turning left
where signposted.
3. From Greywalls to Glasgow Airport (approx 1.5hrs):
Join the main road A198 at the bottom of the drive by turning right
and proceeding through Gullane.
Continue through Aberlady, then Longniddry, and for another 2 miles,
until you come to a small roundabout at which you turn left towards
a larger roundabout. here you turn right onto the A1 dual carriageway
and continue until the 3rd turning to the left marked 'City Bypass'.
From here follow signs for the A8 and Glasgow. Turn off left at
the hermiston Gait roundabout and follow the M8 for Glasgow. Keep
on the M8 through Glasgow and the sliproad to the airport is approximately
6 miles further on, on the left hand side.
