When you book Greywalls, you and your guests can enjoy the use of one of Scotland’s most charming and intimate country houses. Greywalls was built in 1901 as an elegant holiday home for a dedicated golfer. Designed by Lutyens, the house exudes Edwardian style, now complemented by a high standard of modern facilities. Enjoy the seclusion and distinctive atmosphere of this unique property. Linger over a drink on the lawn overlooking the 18th green of Muirfield. Stroll through the tranquil gardens. Dine with more views of the golf course. Relax in the understated comfort of our lounges and library. Retire to individually designed bedrooms.

Tranquil Bedrooms

Each bedroom at Greywalls is unique, with its own décor and antique furnishings.

Greywalls provides facilities that match those of many hotels with TV, phone and ensuite bathroom for each of the rooms.

There are a total of 23 rooms including cottage rooms located within a couple of minutes of the main building.

Most rooms enjoy uninterrupted views either over Muirfield and the Firth of Forth, or over the gardens and the gentle rolling farmland to the Lammermuir Hills.
